ThePCindustryisoneofthefewindustriesthatcandeliverlowerpriceequipmentatthesametimeasimprovingthecapabilities.ThestoragesystemsarenowdeliveringGigabyteofstorageasthestandardcapability.Over80millionofPCsarebeingsoldayear.Andtheservermarket,thehigherperformancemachinesthatthesePCsnetworkedwith,arethefastestgrowingpartofthisbusiness.Theperformanceofthoseserversisincreasingnotonlybecausetheindividualprocessorsarefaster,butalsobecauseweareusingmultiple-processormachines,socalledSMPdesignsandclusteringnodestogether.……

早晨好。非常高興與大家共聚一堂。在這里舉行的微軟中國第一屆專業(yè)開發(fā)人員大會(huì)，是微軟公司的一個(gè)重要里程碑。我們與全球軟件開發(fā)人員建立的伙伴關(guān)系不僅是促成了Windows成功的關(guān)鍵，而且使PC技術(shù)提供的可能性成為現(xiàn)實(shí)。應(yīng)用程序貫穿各個(gè)領(lǐng)域，公司將使用個(gè)人計(jì)算機(jī)作為信息時(shí)代的工具。

這一變革的速度之快，令人眼花繚亂。即使象我這樣深入?yún)⑴c其中的人員，看到在一年基礎(chǔ)上發(fā)生的如此巨大的進(jìn)步預(yù)測(cè)一年后所發(fā)生的變化也是異想天開。當(dāng)然，處理器性能的巨大提高是這一商務(wù)領(lǐng)域的一個(gè)推動(dòng)因素。毫無疑問，芯片通過微處理器的進(jìn)步所提供的強(qiáng)大功能允許我們考慮過去根本沒有可能的應(yīng)用程序。

PC行業(yè)是能夠提供價(jià)格更低的設(shè)備并同時(shí)改進(jìn)功能性的少數(shù)幾個(gè)行業(yè)之一。存儲(chǔ)系統(tǒng)提供lGB存儲(chǔ)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)功能。全球每年售出8000多萬臺(tái)PC。在服務(wù)器市場(chǎng)中，令這些PC聯(lián)網(wǎng)的性能更高的機(jī)器是發(fā)展最快的部分。這些服務(wù)器的性能不斷提高，不僅是因?yàn)閱我惶幚砥魉俣雀欤€因?yàn)槲覀兪褂枚嗵幚砥鳈C(jī)器，也就是被稱為SMP設(shè)計(jì)并實(shí)現(xiàn)節(jié)點(diǎn)的集群化?！?/p>

優(yōu)異的芯片、系統(tǒng)開發(fā)商以及資助這一活動(dòng)的合作伙伴將使所有這些成為可能。這是開發(fā)人員的一次極好機(jī)會(huì)。今天編寫的應(yīng)用程序?qū)⒃谑袌?chǎng)上銷售更多數(shù)量的機(jī)器。我們正在做許多工作來增加好的開發(fā)人員的工作，確保他們理解PC的走向、目前工具如何為他們提供幫助以及可使他們贏得客戶的越來越多的促銷活動(dòng)類型。這就是我們年復(fù)一年所增加的東西。

整個(gè)DNS信息的目的就是通過結(jié)合不同的體系結(jié)構(gòu)、實(shí)現(xiàn)任務(wù)自動(dòng)化以及允許以一種發(fā)展的方式完成這一工作，幫助開發(fā)人員抓住機(jī)會(huì)。我認(rèn)為，這是一個(gè)開發(fā)人員的時(shí)代，感謝您的光臨并希望有機(jī)會(huì)與您進(jìn)行更多的合作。謝謝！
